Every one of these was engineered for ground that moves. On Blackland clay that means the shell and the flatwork are designed for it from the start, which is why they still look like this years on. Each pool was planned with the deck, shade structure, outdoor kitchen and lighting around it, placed by sun angle and by where the shade falls late in the afternoon. After design and permitting, a typical pool is eight to twelve weeks on site. See how a build runs on the pools and spas page, or book a free design visit for your own yard.

Planning notes

Before You Plan a Pool

  • Decide where the shade goes first. The pool, deck, cover and kitchen are placed by sun angle and by where the shade falls late in the afternoon, so they are designed together rather than one at a time.
  • Plan for clay. On North Texas soil the shell and the flatwork are engineered for ground that moves. That is decided in the design, not fixed afterwards.
  • Know the timeline. After design and permitting, a typical pool is eight to twelve weeks on site. We handle the permit with your city and prepare the drawings an HOA usually asks for.

Every project starts with a free design visit to measure, talk through options and give a firm price. A designer calls within one business day.
