100 Series Windows — common questions
Fibrex is Andersen’s composite — reclaimed wood fiber bound in polymer. It holds its shape in Texas heat better than vinyl, which softens and can bow on a wide west-facing opening, and it lets the frame be narrower for the same strength, so you get more glass and less frame.
Most homes are done in one to two days once the custom windows arrive. Lead time on the windows themselves is typically a few weeks, because every unit is built to your openings.
Customers regularly report noticeably lower summer cooling costs and a quieter house. Savings depend on what you’re replacing — single-pane aluminum windows show the biggest change.
Yes. Where your city requires one, we file it and deal with the inspection.
How a 100 Series Windows Project Runs
- 1
A free measure and quote
Every opening is measured individually, because a house rarely has two identical ones. You see the series options side by side and get a firm price.
- 2
Built to your openings
Andersen builds the units to those measurements, so the installers are not shimming a stock size into a hole it does not fit.
- 3
Installed and sealed
Our own crews set, flash and seal each unit, then trim inside and out. Most homes are done in a day or two rather than a week.
- 4
Walkthrough and warranty
We check operation and locks on every window with you, clean up, and hand over the manufacturer warranty alongside ours on the installation.
